MSW UNRECYCABLE WASTE DENSIFICATION LINETO MANUFACTUR BUILDING MATERIALS

KIFF SYSTEMS OFFERS THE DENSIFICATION LINE USING: K-DEC SYSTEM FOR THE FINAL SOLUTION FOR WASTES AND HETEROGENEOUS MATERIALS. LINES HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED AND INSTALLED SINCE 2007 WITH 26 LINES IN PRODUCTION TODAY

The densifier is a PATENT PROTECTED machine which finds its better applications not only in the mere plastic sector but also in wastes and combined materials.

Born as a densifier for agglomerating non rigid plastics, in order to reduce the proportion between weight and volume, and optimising in this way the stocking, the handling, and the transport, is gradually been modified till becoming the essential instrument to work on those different cases in which no other machine can help.

The two co-rotating screws with anti-wearing covering, the warmed and adjustable plate, the dosing and feeding system controlled by a patented valve, make the DEC the ideal machine not only for plasticising film or packaging, but above all for working on those plastics which would normally be considered a non-recyclable waste, due to their peculiar conditions.

In its warmed chamber it is in fact possible to work:

  •       Materials with a very high residual moisture, up to 35-40
  •       Plasmix
  •       Compounds (wood-plastic, rubber-plastic, sawdust-plastic)
  •       Working wastes (car fluff, WEEE scraps plastics, pulper waste plastics).
  •       Products actually quite impossible to separate and sort (carpets, dusts, tank bottom wastes)
  •       Heterogeneous waste for producing RDF
  • With the growing difficulties in managing the low quality plastics, hardly separable, especially due to the CHINESE IMPORT BLOCK, thousands of tons of AGGREGATED PLASTIC WASTES and PACKAGING keep filling the warehouses, not only in Europe, but in all the other markets.
  • The decision taken by the Chinese government TO NOT ACCEPTING ANYMORE AGGREGATED PLASTIC WASTES, UNLESS AT LEAST PARTIALLY PROCESSED, has created a huge quantity of hardly separable material which, before today was simply divided from good one, pressed and sent to China.
  • K-DEC REPRESENTS NOWADAYS THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR UNBLOCKING THIS SITUATION, ALLOWING THE TRANSFORMATION OF A POTENTIAL WASTE INTO A PRIMARY RAW MATERIAL.
  • It’s in fact the only machine able to transform all this material from a waste into a REUSABLE RAW MATERIAL for different sectors, from the INCINERATION to the production of PLASTIC MIX for manufacturing a wide range of different accessories.
  • It’s the only densifier on the market actually not having any kind of limits for what concerning the ingoing products, and which can transform a waste into a new material which can be directly passed through an extruder. In event the extruder be directly installed in tandem after the K-DEC, this will act as a doser for the extruder itself, optimizing the production of NEW GRANULE.

PROJECT SPECIFIC-

MAKING GRANULES FROM NON RECYCLABLE COMMINGLED PLASTIC WASTE TO REPLACE AGGREGATE (QUARRY STONE) TO MAKE BUILDING PRODUCTS

BUILDING PRODUCTS:  BRICKS/ BLOCKS / PIPES / FRAMES / STRUCTURES/ PLANKS.

We basically replaced the 4-6-8 mm sized gravel with mixed plastic processed with our densification system. We ground this plastic in a mill with a Ø10 mm grid.

So the mixture we used only replaced the gravel with plastic, leaving the percentages of sand and cement unchanged.

Additional option is during the densification phase it’s possible to insert pigments and / or mineral fillers (such as calcium carbonate) that exceed 1 mm in size in order to color the plastic.

COMMINGLED NON-RECYCLABLE WASTE CAN INCLUDE:

  • Hard plastic like PET, PEAD, ABS, HDPE (1, 2 y 3)
  • Soft plastic, bags and others LPDE, PP, PS (4, 5, 6 y 7
  •  Laminated plastic, cookies packages and others.
  • Expanded polystyrene EPS (6) Styrofoam

Why organic contamination can reduce the production amount:  with our experience we have understood that to work inside the K-DEC densifier 1 KG of plastic requires an average of 0.18KW of power. As you know, water (which we can compare to organic contamination) uses 1KW for each liter, or in this case KG, so the material will have to stay longer inside the densifier, consequently reducing the hourly production flow rate.

K-DEC can accept a small % of pvc, but it will produce smoke that’s dangerous for health and hydrochloric acid that can (with long time exposure) ruin the internal parts of the densifier. also we do not recommend to work with pvc because you will require special additional treating systems for the air.

In the design phase we can provide detailed 3D layouts inserted directly into the customer’s building. We also provide the drawings to build the water drainage channels, diagrams of the electrical and plumbing connections.
